Jupiter is the largest planet in the solar system and was named by the Romans after their god Jupiter. Since ancient times astronomers have been fascinated by the planets and Jupiter was associated with mythology and religious and pagan beliefs. It has features quite different from terrestrial planets and its composition is more like that of stars. It has enormous magnetic fields. A planetary ring system surrounds Jupiter including four moons called the Galilean moons, discovered by Galileo Galilei in 1610.
The Jupiter range of jewellery is inspired by the image of the planet Jupiter and is interpreted in 925 silver and 18 carat goldplated silver with Moonstones and two shades of Citrines.
