Since time began, we have been fascinated by the Moon which is the astronomical body closest to the earth and has a profound influence upon us. We use the phases of the moon to tune into the natural rhythms of the earth, for planting crops, time keeping, secret trysts and magic rituals.
The moon is always regarded as female and is cyclical, completing a full orbit around the Earth every twenty nine and a half days. The Full Moon appears about fifteen days after the New Moon and appears as a splendid shining white orb in the night sky.
