○ The ART NOUVEAU Collection ○Charles Rennie Mackintosh (1868-1928) was a Scottish architect who was born and worked in Glasgow. He was one of the leading figures of the Arts and Crafts movement. Together with his wife, Margaret Macdonald, he exhibited in London and Vienna and was an influence on the Viennese Art Nouveau movement of which he was an enthusiast. Together they created the Willow Tearooms in Glasgow which remain the best surviving example of their work together.
