The Copper Rose range of jewellery is inspired by the stencil on the wall of the Buchanan Street Tea Rooms which was undoubtedly a stylized portrait of his wife, Margaret Macdonald. His work was full of symbolism and hidden meaning. Above her head are seven lotus flowers and in the centre of her body is a rose, now known as the Mackintosh Rose.
